Wholegrain barley, cinnamon

  • Wholegrain barley is a great source of both soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber, like beta-glucan, helps reduce cholesterol levels, while insoluble fiber aids digestion and prevents constipation.
  • The beta-glucan fiber in barley has been shown to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, reducing the risk of heart disease. Barley also contains antioxidants, which further support heart health
  • Contains minerals like phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium, which support strong bones and help prevent conditions like osteoporosis
  • High in protein, 100g contain 15g of protein

Once cooked, add to a bowl, add some milk and top with fruits, nuts, seeds and honey. 

Do not wash, we have cleaned it and lightly dusted it with cinnamon. Simply add one part porridge to four parts water (if you are making 1/2 cup porridge, add 2 cups water). Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. It takes about 7 mins to cook and thicken. Add more cinnamon at this point if you want. Add to a bowl, add some milk and top with fruits, nuts, seeds and honey.
