Wash quinoa 4-5 times till water runs clear. This gets rid of the bitter taste of the grain. For one cup of quinoa, add one and a half cup of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the flame and let it simmer till the quinoa is soft (10-12 mins max). Drain the remaining water, sometimes the quinoa will soak up all the water so you just need to fluff it with a fork.
